Raucci Racing is a family owned and operated Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring Charger & Bandolero race team, owned by Vinny & Donna Raucci. Originally from Long Island, New York we moved here 10 years ago with our daughter Bridgette and son Vincent. The Raucci Racing team members have been longtime racing fans with many interests and experiences in racing.

In 2004 is when I got started in racing and haven’t been able to stop since. I was on the pit crew for Jerry Jones #40 Charger. That year Jerry finished the season with a 3rd place finish.

In 2005 I started in the Bomber division. By the close of the 2005 season we finished 2nd in points and only 21 points out of the championship.

Still in Bombers for 2006 we ended the season in 5th place. After a very rough year with a lot of motor problems that was a great finish for us. At one point in 2006 Raucci Racing had 3 cars running in the Bomber division. On 8/12/06 Raucci Racing was featured in the Las Vegas Review Journal in the living section. We also let Corey Livitan run one of our cars for the race.

As we moved into the 2007 season, I moved up and drove in the Charger division. We had two of the best in the business building us a car from the ground up. Chris and Fabian Bray worked weeks to get us a great car. We welcomed a new team member to our staff – Wendy Gregory as our Assistant Crew Chief. After losing our current crew chief Brett, Wendy stepped up as crew chief and without her we would have been lost. She is an asset to our team

With Wendy Gregory wendy.gif (16061 bytes)as our crew chief  our goals for the 2008 season is to continue to perform at the top of the field while gaining valuable driver and team experience.

The 2008 season has ended and we at Raucci Racing feel we had a great season. We finished 3rd in the points standings for the year. We added a new member to our crew – Darin Jordan. He has become a big asset to the team. He comes to our team with a lot of experience. Our goals for 2009 are the same to move up higher towards that championship.

F.Y.I.  Everyone always asks why purple and pink and why #69. Well, so everyone knows purple and pink was my wife’s idea and since it costs so much money to race I figured I better give her this one so I don’t feel so bad when I need more money for the cars. As for the #69 it’s my wife’s birthday and the year I was born.

*      I’d like to take a moment and say thank you to each of our sponsors. We are very fortunate to have many generous sponsors throughout our race career. Sponsors are amazing people – who demonstrate their commitment to helping us.

*      Brett Ahlin – thanks for all your hard work through the years. It is greatly appreciated. Due to work commitments Brett can no longer be down at the track on a weekly basis, however, he is just a phone call away. We do miss you in the pits. You kept organization and helped keep me calm. We all keep our fingers crossed that you will be able to find time to come back to the track again. Maybe not on a weekly basis but once in a while. You are sadly missed.

*      We need to thank Chris & Fabian Bray for building us one hell of a car in the #69 Charger. When we started I didn’t know too much about chargers but Chris & Fabian’s unbelievable talents gave me a phenomenal race car.

*      Chad Mattos thank you for all your help throughout the years.

*      To a saint of a crew chief – Wendy Gregory thank you for all you do for the team. Your patients and understanding are appreciated. Your knowledge is greatly needed. Please know we couldn’t do this every week without you.

*      To John Gregory - thank you for allowing Wendy (your wife) to spend almost all of her free time either down and the track or over my house working on the cars.

 *  Thank you to Darin our new addition to the team. Its great to have you out there each race weekend. To Angie his wife, thank you for allowing him to be at the track helping us. Welcome to the Raucci Racing Family!

*      And last but not least to my wife and daughter, thank you for being so understanding when I am not at the soccer field because we are at the race track. I really do love to watch you play Bridgette. Kick some butt this season – I know you will. Thank you for feeding us and everyone who wonders into our pit and a big thank you for not killing us or divorcing me when I wake you up in the middle of the night to tell you I need more money for the race cars.
